The Hunter & the Hunted

I was very curious what was going through this man’s head. Was he admiring them? Was he thinking about killing them? Was he drooling? Or does he just like the look of camo like a ghost in the forest and doesn’t hunt at all?

Anyway, took this sneaky picture because the moment was too interesting to pass up.

Spent the weekend in Jasper and woke up to this soft mountain snowfall. Great to have a weekend away from work and people and to just wonder around in the trees and drink good caesars & coffee.

Had a fun adventure in the mountains over the weekend! It was chilly and even snowed but I had a lot of fun and was glad to have a dog around since mine is out on an adventure of his own in Oregon.

Also hung out with lots of bison. Such enourmous creatures, love the noises they make and the way they move.

Spent this cloudy, drizzly day hanging out with nature, running into creature friends. These two we spotted in different places. They were wonderful models, gave me straight on shots, looking over the shoulder shots, running into the forest shots. So beautiful.

A skinny cow I took a picture of long ago in Cambodia. It was strange to see cows all over the world and realize how healthy our cows here in Alberta look (and taste). I know there are a lot of problems in our beef industry, a lot. But at least they live in a beautiful place with plenty to eat for most of their lives. Which is better than a shitty life AND a shitty death.
