On Christmas day I went for a walk near Christie point seeking peace, photo subjects and nature. I found little bits of Christmas all around me though. Fresh green holly growing on a bush, a little newly planted tree in a small park which someone had lovingly decorated and a nice bunch of brush tied in a pretty ribbon on a walkway overpass.

The gardens last night. I’ve never experienced pouring rain on Christmas but it was beautiful all the same.

My first real tree since I was wee! Smells so good, drinks a lot of water. We named him Fred Penner.

These are last years cookies… I can’t seem to get motivated to do it all again. Maybe I’ll just enjoy others baking this year.
