A lamp I made a while back. Well, crafted upon. It was glass and broke in the move but I improved it with color!

Some of the things I’ve been working on in silversmithing. Going to my dad’s tomorrow so he can teach me some basic welding, and experimenting with metals I haven’t worked with before.  He also has an old copper enamel kiln and a bunch of old supplies. We’re going to see if we can figure it out. Quite excited!

Me in the fancy hat my sister crocheted me for my birthday. She’s great. Also, I wish people would post more pictures of themselves on tumblr. I always get curious what people look like. I don’t think it is weird or narcissistic.

Had my first silversmithing class last night and loved it! I am really excited to do more projects. This is what I made last night as practice for the techniques. It is made of copper and about the size of a toonie.

Made neato flags for my house to brighten it up! I was trying to explain to Anni what they were and said they were similar to Tibetan prayer flags. I didn’t realize until the next day when we were sitting across the room that I had hung them under a photograph from Tibet of prayer flags hanging on a mountain. My subconscious is too smart sometimes!

The “Merry Christmas” I made for my hallway for my Scandinavian Christmas party later this week.

Anni and I had a crafty time this morning. We learned to make woven danish heart baskets!
