I wish all of my furniture was made of driftwood. This is near the breakwater in Victoria from last winter.

Stepping into emeralds. Looks so warm, but really it is cold and dark. I got hypothermia scuba diving in these waters when I was younger.

I miss Van Isle. Can’t wait for our trip back this summer. These are some pictures from one of my many visits there this year. More than anything I miss the other islands though.

Can’t wait to get back to the coast. I know I go pretty frequently but it’s been a long time since I spent more than a ferry boats ride on the ocean. This is me at long beach a couple years ago.

The boat on which I spent many damp, cramped, magical nights as a child. I don’t think it would be a stretch to say that most of the best memories of my life occurred in places this boat brought me to.

And then I unzipped them and walked in.

An adorable seal who pops up beside the dock everytime he thinks you’re buying him a fish. He even spins in the water…

A pod of orcas I ran into on my travels this week. Probably the most excited I’ve been in three years. Bolted across the boat to get a look. It is almost sad how often I dream about seeing whales, swimming with whales, eating whales… not eating whales.
